TITLE OF POSITION: MATTERS Coordinator/ Project Management Officer (PMO)
SITE: NJ Department of Health, 55 N. Willow Street, 3rd Floor, Trenton, NJ 08060
NJ state employees are authorized to work a hybrid schedule (2 days remote & 3 days in office) per the state’s Telework Program, until further notice.
UNIT: Office of the Commissioner, Opioid Response and Policy
HOURS OF WORK: 35
DRESS ATTIRE: Business Casual
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree required in an appropriate field, including or supplemented by twelve (12) semester hour credits in Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Economics, Statistics, Quantitative Analysis, Operations Research, and/or Market Research.
MPH, MPA or MSW preferred/ a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years of experience in public health, economics, public health administration, or related field which involves the use, operation, and/or management of database systems.
At least 2 years of social policy experience focused on vulnerable populations preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Office of Opioid Response & Policy (ORP) was recently awarded a grant titled Improving First Responder Overdose Reversal and Linkage to Care in New Jersey, which is designed to expand the Five Minutes to Help EMS training program and pilot MATTERS, an application/network for SUD/harm reduction treatment referral services used by EMS in NJ. The grant included a MATTERS PMO to oversee the MATTERS components of the grant. ORP is seeking to recruit a skilled PMO, who will, under the direction of the Project Director, coordinate all aspects of the MATTERS project while working collaboratively with Senior Advisors, subject matter experts, and external partners.
1. Schedule stakeholder meetings and facilitating communication between theproject manager and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
2. Manage project management documents such as the project plan, budget, schedule, or scope of work, as directed by the project director.
3. Execute various project management and administrative tasks such as programmatic and expenditure tracking.
4. Support team members when applying risk management strategies.
5. Maintain program files.
6. Conducts other relevant duties as needed within the ORP as related to the MATTERS project.
