Maintains and cares for hospital grounds and performs general outside maintenance duties.
Clears away litter from around buildings and parking lots.
Responsible for fertilization and application of control materials to turf and shrubbery beds.
Prepares seeding or transplanting beds by cultivating soil.
Plants trees, seeds and bulbs.
Maintains all ornamental and flower beds.
Prunes trees and trims hedges.
Mows lawns.
Connects sprinkling equipment and waters lawn and flower beds.
Shovels snow and spreads sand and salt. Operates snow removal equipment, plow trucks, salt trucks, as well as, walk-behind and riding tractors with snow plows and/or snow blowers attached.
Garbage removal.
Cleans roofs, roof drains and tunnel, as needed.
Repairs blacktop roadway, as needed.
Maintains shop, vehicles, and equipment.
Completes daily time report at end of shift.
Performs minor repairs/services in different trades as needed.
