New Jersey Resources (NJR) is seeking a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Coordinator to be responsible for the Business Interruption Committee (BIC) and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activities and initiatives at NJR. The coordinator will also support matters related to Homeland Security. At the direction of the Manager of Security, develop and implement comprehensive security policies and programs to assure a safe work environment.
Major Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a framework for security process, roles, and responsibilities throughout the organization.
Assure that the Business Interruption Committee (BIC) and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the security function of each are effectively organized and staffed to achieve established goals and objectives and maximize return on security
investment.
Manage the development and implementation of security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security.
Create programs focusing on: security personnel training, employee training, business continuity planning and training, , crisis
management planning, labor contingency planning and disaster planning.
Develop and ensure implementation of all emergency procedures that relate to Business Continuity Planning.
Responsible for planning the interface of security during emergency situations and providing continuity of business operations during these emergencies.
Coordinates the security needs of the Company with various key personnel to include the Business Interruption Committee (BIC) and the Emergency Operations Center Personnel (EOC).
Administers and provides technical support for the various security systems within the Company including, but not limited to, access control systems, gate systems, CCTV systems etc.
Position Specifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, criminal justice or related field preferred
Four years of experience in the security field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Corporate security and/or emergency management experience preferred.
Must possess the ability to identify and analyze security issues and trends and lead other security personnel in the implementation of appropriate programs
Position requires effective communication and strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of the organization including senior management
Strong problem solving skills in matters of employee safety and crisis situations is a must
Excellent attention to detail, responsiveness, and judgement
