At our Fortune 1000 diversified energy company, you’ll find a friendly, community-minded environment, with flexible work schedules, opportunities for growth and development, and competitive pay and benefits. New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking a Field Supervisor to supervise the daily operating activities for field personnel as they relate to maintaining the New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) distribution system.Major Responsibilities: Ensure the proper and efficient scheduling, performance and completion of system maintenance and repair to maintain integrity of the division distribution system  Ensure leak surveys are scheduled and conducted with trained personnel to meet compliance requirements; ensure all documentation is accurateMake necessary recommendations for pipe replacement to ensure cathodic protection; assure division field personnel are provided with necessary tools, materials, supplies and equipment that have been properly maintainedSchedule and deploy personnel to cover daily workflow according to the needs of the territoryAssure the prompt and effective handling of appropriate emergency work requestsMaintain security and proper maintenance of all company buildings and property located at the division service centerMaintain operations and capital expenditures within or below approved budgetMaintain overtime expenses according to the approved budgetCollaborate with team members to develop efficient processes with a focus on continuous improvementCalculate costs for services provided, and provide alternatives when necessaryCoach team members and provide feedback in developing technical skills and maintaining safe practices on the jobEnsure the timely completion of all required compliance workPosition Specifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred or a minimum of three years of experience in a public utility operations or a related field, or the combined equivalent and experienceExerting up to 20lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.The person in this role is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.This role is subject to environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and out in the field.The role is subject to noise.
