New Pig Corporation, a leader in providing environmental and safety solutions for companies throughout the world, is seeking a smart, enthusiastic, and self-motivated person to join our Manufacturing Quality Control team. The associate in this role will be a valuable go-to resource to generate and respond to quality concerns associated with the manufacturing process. This role includes a high percentage of hands-on work in addition to planning and reporting. This person should have a continual improvement way of thinking, always looking to improve methods, processes, and procedures.
This position will be required to work at both the Tipton and Duncansville manufacturing locations on an agreed upon schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the manufacturing production team to ensure products are made to specification by providing accurate information via the quality software system
- Input specifications and work instructions for new products or corrections to existing products into the Quality System
- Assist with testing, data analysis and reporting of products as required
- Engage with the Product Development team to develop specifications around new products to ensure manufacturability
- Responsible for releasing new items into the manufacturing systems
- Engineering change management including training production associates as needed
- Lead Root Cause and Corrective Actions for internal and supplier quality concerns
- Support Quality Assurance Manager with external customer complaint investigations as needed
- Manage internal work orders for development and sample runs
- Generate quotes for new manufacturing and custom items
- Conduct internal audits and evaluations
- Support internal and external ISO 9001 Quality and ISO 14001 Environmental audits
- Maintain calibration database for scales and other measurement devices
- Order print plates and manage artwork integrity
- Manage production labeling systems
- Assist with reviewing and maintaining supplier COA’s
- Adhere to New Pig's Safety, Environmental, and Quality Standards
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in quality control or technical environment is a plus!
- Mathematical skills (calculations, analysis, spreadsheets)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to learn new software systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to get to root causes
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Can-do, positive attitude
- Flexibility to work out of two manufacturing locations (Tipton and Duncansville)
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to commute between locations as required
Salary : $32,500 - $41,100
