Now Hiring: Baker 2 – $20/hr

We're looking for a Baker who can produce consistent and quality pastries and baked goods from our trusted ingredients and recipes.

What You’ll Do:

• Work with prepared foods team members to produce and bake the Co-op’s famous baked goods in our commercial bakery & kitchen.
• Prepare foods using commercial bakery/kitchen equipment including large batch mixers, stoves, ovens, and proofers.
  
• Consistently project a friendly, open, and service oriented demeanor to customers and team members
• Lift and carry 15 – 50 pounds of product on a regular basis

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 6 months of food service experience, institutional or commercial bakery preferred
• Ability to work with both hands in a fast-paced, creative environment in an efficient and controlled manner.
• Familiarity with organic and natural food or willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and speak English and perform basic math problems associated with recipes
• Ability to accurately and consistently follow recipes
  

Additional Information:

This position requires attention to detail and the ability to stand and work long periods at a time.

Excellent tenure and attendance is expected, with a committed schedule that may include opening, mid-shift, and closing, and requires weekend, and holiday shifts on a regular basis.
