3rd Shift Material Handler

Teamvantage is hiring for a 3rd Shift Material Handler to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN.

The Material Handler will prepare and maintain the supply of raw material, packaging, and component items for production. This person must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and during the overnight hours. The Material Handler reports to the Warehouse Manager and works alongside shipping and receiving clerks, warehouse specialists and other material handlers.

Qualifications:

• Preferred high school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1 year experience in plastic injection molding preferred
• Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States

Essential Duties:

• Maintains accurate inventory levels and lot history trees by properly moving and electronically tracking materials per system requirements.
• Mixes, batches, and/or blends material for production while working closely with set-up techs and/or process engineers.
• Maintains material handling equipment and identifies equipment needing repair
• Designates material for production runs; allocates required raw materials, based upon BOM, using IQMS/WMS.
• Returns material to stock after production is complete and assigns it a location in the warehouse
• Reconciles material usage at the end of a work order
• Communicates with Purchasing and Scheduling any shortages or discrepancies
• Cycle counts raw materials and packaging supplies
• Maintains and updates IQMS system for material per production run, transfers and back flushes the system
• Can perform all material handling with little or no supervision
• Recommends changes to improve productivity and/or quality
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Work Conditions & Physical Demands:

This is a non-smoking, professional injection molding shop with normal lighting, climate control. The shop environment may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding shop. Walking is required within the office/shop areas. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements. Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment. Must have dexterity with hands.
