An Office Manager has the responsibility of ensuring that the administrative activities of the service center run efficiently by providing structure to other employees throughout the organization, assisting the General Manager, completing necessary paperwork, providing training to Service Center employees, updating driver logs, auditing the timeclock, and maintaining office structure.

- Handle incoming calls and direct/resolve with a professional and courteous attitude.
- Assist the General Manager with the daily operations of the Service Center.
- Provide training to Service Center employees.
- Scheduling and monitoring of debris pickups at the Service Center.
- Assist with the needs of the Service Center, driving trucks, cars, etc.
- Provide coordination and monitoring of Driver Logs.
- Assist move coordinators by providing on site pre-move surveys.
- Assist move coordinators by conducting quality job site visits to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Advise move coordinators about relevant information necessary to answer shipper’s questions/concerns.
- Provide customers with a local contact in case of issues with our service.
- Provide dispatch with updated daily worksheets reflecting job assignments.
- Update driver’s daily screens every day with all required information.
- Assist employees with their questions or concerns regarding insurance, paperwork, payroll, worker’s compensation, etc.
- Act as a liaison between employees and payroll department to handle corrections.
- Enter and audit computerized payroll through E-Time.
- Process paperwork for new employees and submit to corporate.
- Process paperwork for current employees to earn their driver qualifications.
- Process paperwork for employee termination and submit to corporate.
- Prepare various forms concerning employee’s daily attendance and activities.
- Maintain time off requests through the company’s intranet site.
- Maintain current and accurate files.
- Manage petty cash and submit weekly reports to corporate.
- Prepare and submit various monthly reports.
- Submit uniform requests to the Corporate Office
- Manage uniform inventory for the office.
- Assist the receptionist with processing completed paperwork for billing and forward to corporate.
- Assist the receptionist with preparation of paperwork for new jobs.
- Assist management with finding qualified helpers and drivers when needed.
- Respond to email requests from payroll to verify hours for local and out-of-town employees.
- Assist dispatch in auditing driver hotel usage.
- Provide pre-move surveys for other moving companies.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some previous administrative/customer service experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Exceptional organization skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiar with MS Office suite
- Straight truck driving experience
- Household goods moving experience
Physical Requirements
- Work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Move about the office to access office machinery, cabinets, etc.
