The College of Engineering and Computing Sciences at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) seeks a Teaching Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology – ECET (non-tenure track), with expertise in Circuit analysis, Electronics, Web Design, Digital logic and VHDL programming, Control systems and MATLAB programming, Embedded systems,Microcontrollers, and IOT applications. (full-time, non-tenure-track; New York City campus). Must also be avaialable to teach at the Long Island, NY (Old Westbury) campus.
Responsibilities beyond teaching include outcomes assessment, curriculum design, and development. An ability to develop and teach courses in several areas of study is required. Successful candidates will share our vision to grow the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences into a premier source of student talent in the New York Metropolitan area.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology, Computer Engineering/Technology, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited US university.Candidates with a Master’s degree and 5 years of experience in the industry will be considered.Candidates must have excellent communication skills, be willing to engage withinstitutional student success initiatives and have a commitment to engaging with best-practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy.
