Position Summary
The Associate Dean for Postgraduate Programs will be responsible for the successful delivery of postgraduate dental specialty certificate and Master's degree programs by performing regulatory oversight and administrative supervision. Partner with the chairs and program directors of the postgraduate dental specialty program and master's programs to support their administrative and programmatic needs and to provide direction and guidance on admissions, interviews, curricular development, maintenance of academic standards, effectiveness assessment, and regulatory compliance. Partner with NYU’s Office of Academic Program Review & Assessment (“OAPRA”) and associated accrediting bodies (e.g., New York State Education Department, NYSED) to ensure that each postgraduate dental specialty program and each Master’s program meets all regulatory compliance requirements and all academic standards. Spearhead and ensure completion of the administration, design and delivery of applications for new degree programs through OAPRA and NYSED. Oversee rotation and transcript audits and graduation certification for postgraduate programs.Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education:Doctoral Degree Required Experience:10 years relevant experience in higher education. Experience with professional school curriculum and the admissions process for postgraduate programs. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Proven leadership, networking and presentation skills; effective strategic planning skills. Ability to develop and market programs and to work collaboratively using consensus building techniques. Capacity to see challenges and quickly develop a plan for management and mitigation. In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $180,000.00 to USD $230,000.00.
