Job Description
Join a fast-paced Agile development program as a key devops team member. You will be part of a team responsible for keeping the multiple development servers and application highly available for the developers’ daily use. You will plan and execute daily tasks along with long term upgrades and migrations. With the diverse systems and applications employed in our program you’ll continually be challenged and have the opportunity to grow in your field.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
Assist with Application Release Deployments to Production
Install and configure software and hardware
Monitor production performance and maintain systems according to contract requirements
Troubleshoot system issues and outages
Manage Windows/Linux servers, VMware, and network devices (Juniper firewalls and VPN, F5, etc.)
Manage storage devices (NetApp SAN, Brocade switches, and backups)
Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Patch & Upgrade systems with new releases and models (Including Windows, RHEL, Oracle, and IAVA patches)
Build & maintain internal technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
Communicate (verbal and written) effectively with teams, peers, and management
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
Experience with and ability to understand, distill, and document solution requirement
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of server scripting (Shell/Perl/PowerShell) and automation technologies
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Windows and Linux)
Familiarity with Siebel and WebLogic desired
Experience with STIG compliance and security patching desired
Education and other requirements
5 years of experience in related field
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
An active Secret Clearance
