Full-Time Monday through Friday.The Insurance/Billing Specialist will be responsible for posting charges, payments, and adjustments to patient accounts. This candidate will be responsible for filing medical insurance claims, both primary and secondary, to the appropriate insurance carriers. Strong organizational skills are a must to ensure that claims are filed and payments are collected in a timely manner. Work experience in a healthcare setting along with ICD and CPT coding preferred. This candidate will need to be knowledgeable of HIPAA and patient privacy standards. The Insurance/Billing Specialist will also need to have a general understanding of the duties of the Receptionist so that he/she may fill in as needed for breaks, lunches, vacations, illnesses, etc. The candidate must display a professional, team-orientated attitude in all aspects of his/her performance and assist in the facility as directed.
