Police Officer Harmony Township
Qualified persons are invited to apply to the Harmony Township Civil Service Commission to take the competitive examination leading to eligibility for appointment as a part-time police officer with the
Harmony Township Police Department.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Candidates at the time of application must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, hold a PA Class C operator’s license or equivalent, be a US Citizen, be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a police officer and meet all other Civil Service Requirements. Applicants must be Act 120 certified by the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission prior to appointment.
Completed applications must be returned by 3:30 PM, Thursday, September 17 2020.
The Physical Agility test will be held on Thursday, September 24th, 2020 at 9:00 AM. at the Allegheny County Police Academy, North Park. The written test is scheduled for September 26th, 2020 at 9:00Am at the Harmony Township Municipal Building, 2501 Woodland Rd., Ambridge, PA. 15003. Only those individuals who pass the physical agility are eligible to take the written exam. Other mandatory components of the exam are an oral examination, a background check and a post offer medical examination and a post offer psychological examination.
