We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Purchasing Specialist—Materials Management to join the Mountainside Team!

What You’ll Do

The Purchasing Specialist—Materials Management will be responsible to assist with the research of information related to the procurement of equipment, services and supplies and also assist with the processes of the Materials Management department.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Place purchase orders for equipment, services and supplies
  • Maintain invoice discrepancies and pricing issues
  • Review reports for actions on back orders, delays, substitutions and other type of related issues
  • Prepare varous reports in Excel and PowerPoint as requested
  • Source and research products and/or services as requested
  • Maintains the MMIS and POU supply sytems
  • Review contracts, assess vialibity and report findings to the Director
  • Interviews sales reps, secures bids and quotations
  • Answer incoming phone calls, greet visitors, handle mail, coordinate meetings,sort and distribute incoming/outgoing mail, manage and maintain office equipment and supplies
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

  • Associate Degree in related field. Years of related experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
  • 2-3 years or more of purchasing experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the abilty to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Strong ability to multi-task; ability to deal with short deadlines and customer complaints
