Description: Position Summary:
Are you someone who transforms ideas into products? We are currently looking for a Senior Product Development Engineer to join our team at NewAge Industries! The qualified individual will be responsible for managing and advising the specifications and design of new products, improvements, and changes throughout the product life cycle. The qualified individual will have the opportunity to provide experienced insight and advice for application challenges and design problems as well as lead and manage development of documentation and design inputs and outputs to ensure timely and complete gate pass-through for product development process.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Develop new products for NewAge Industries and participate in all phases of product development including research, design, development, validation, and launch
Create and maintain records necessary to demonstrate that the design was developed in accordance with plans including design and development plan specifying design tasks and deliverables, design input documents and design output documents, documentation of design reviews, validation documentation, & transfer to manufacturing
Product testing throughout the design stages to troubleshoot any potential problems
Select the best product which meets physical, functional, performance, market, project, and environmental requirements
Deliver the product specification, process, and procedures for manufacturing
Analyze existing products to identify areas for improvement and updates documentation
Serve as a lead technical role on project team(s). Collaborate closely with fellow Engineers, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Customers regarding new products, improvements, and changes throughout the product life cycle

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Material Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering, Chemistry - Polymer or similar. A Master's degree may be advantageous
7 years relatable experience
Working knowledge of chemicals, chemical synthesis, and chemical and physical properties of polymers in the development of plastics, rubber, and composite materials/products
Previous experience in product development. Driven 5 or more ideas to Medical, Biopharmaceutical, or Cell & Gene markets may be advantageous
Experience with CAE such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Moldex3D or other mold flow simulation software.
Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
