Baler - 2nd shift

Essential Duties:

• Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
• 2nd Shift (3pm to 11 pm).
• Washes plastic pallets.

• Conduct recycling operations, bales cardboard and plastics accumulated from production activities and maintain records disposal activities.
• Assures food waste is properly disposed and maintains records of recycling activities.
• Complete all logs and records in compliance with procedures, policies and instructions for documentation compliance

• Maintains the cleanliness of the exterior grounds that includes parking lots, trash docks, break areas, sidewalks, and natural grounds that surround the facility. Cleaning activities includes trash removal, sweeping, wash downs and disposal of waste container contents.
• Maintains the cleanliness of non-production areas that include Bale room, Warehouse perimeters, office areas, lab areas, locker rooms, break rooms, restrooms and storage areas. Cleaning activities include sweeping, mopping, trash removal, painting and other duties as assigned.
• Follows written and verbal instructions provided via hard copy, discussion and other mediums
• Follows attendance policy and guidelines.
• Complete assigned duties and responsibilities per instructions, policy and procedures with minimal supervision
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, Sanitary practices and Safety procedures

• Work in a Team environment and share results of any issues with immediate Supervisors and Manager in a timely manner.

• Operate forklifts safely
• Other duties as assigned.
• Stand for long periods of time while using hands and arms to handle and operate objects. The employee will regularly, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach, lift and walk.  Occasionally the employee will need to ascend heights in excess of six feet and may need to work in confined spaces.
• The employee will be required to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

The position will report to the Food Safety and Sanitation Manager, keeping up with plastic pallet washing will be a major and primary function.

Qualifications:

• HS Degree or equivalent
• Stand for long periods of time while using hands and arms to handle and operate objects. The employee will regularly, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach, lift and walk.  Occasionally the employee will need to ascend heights in excess of six feet and may need to work in confined spaces. The employee will occasionally be required to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
