ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for pre-flighting all artwork.
  • Responsible for communicating with customer for suggested improvements.
  • Responsible for assessing lithographic art that will be converted by approved litho vendors.
  • Responsible for managing the flow of orders to and from the litho vendors and print plate vendors.
  • Responsible for quality checking incoming litho and print plates
  • Manages direction of artwork either to direct print or to litho
  • Other duties as assigned by Prepress Manager or designee

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
College education is desirable. Strong graphics background and knowledge of graphic software applications.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Good communication skills are essential. Ability to explain complicated concepts related to converting graphics.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract fractions, ability to measure accurately and convert decimals to fractions and vice versa.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Thorough knowledge of all graphic software applications and ability to create art to satisfy customer demands as well as converting capabilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Typical requirements associated with office work. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to sit, stand, walk, etc. Acute color vision is essential. Ability to see clearly.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:
Improvements in graphics, knowledge of software updates, personal development

SALARY:
Starting at $22.00/hr
