The Center for Community Health, opening January 2021 in the heart of Park Slope at our NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, will set a new bar in personalized outpatient care -- from diagnosis to treatment -- by integrating new technologies and innovative clinical approaches to provide the highest quality care and enhance the patient experience.
This 400,000 –square foot, multi-specialty ambulatory center encompasses a Comprehensive Cancer and Women’s Health Center, 12 ambulatory surgery operating rooms and Multispecialty physician practices. Our new state-of-the-art building encompasses three 600 ton chillers, five individual air handling units and Schneider control systems.
Environmental Aide – Center for Community Health – Day Shift
In this role, as an Environmental Aide, you will be responsible for contributing to patient care by cleaning and maintaining assigned patient and non-patient areas according to standardized procedures of the department. You will utilize mechanical equipment, tools, chemical solutions and cleaning supplies to ensure a consistently clean environment for patients & visitors.
This is a full time day shift 7:30am-4:00pm including Saturday position located at the NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital Center for Community Health.
One-year cleaning experience in an institutional/commercial setting.
Knowledge of industrial cleaning maintenance equipment such as high-speed floor burnishers, extractors and groundskeeper equipment.
Knowledge of recycling and hazardous waste guidelines.
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic computer literacy.
Must read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability to lift heavy objects and able to stand for long periods of time; work requires standing, walking, and manual dexterity. Must be able to lift, pull and push 10 pounds at intervals.
