Chemical Applicator

The Chemical Applicator is responsible for applying chemicals to all plants, trees, and grass on clients’ properties to enhance plant growth and control weeds and pests. THEY MUST POSSESS A CHEMICAL APPLICATOR LICENSE and follow safe practices and procedures at all times. The applicator monitors and maintains all the necessary weed and pest control programs and takes preventative measures to reduce the risks of future problems.

Responsibilities

• Set up spray equipment for daily work

• Calculate the amount of chemicals needed for properties that will be sprayed on any particular day

• Know which chemicals are used by the company and their purposes

• Search for and identify signs of pests and weed issues on daily property visits

• Maintain records of chemicals used and the progress seen on properties

• Coordinate with maintenance account managers to create pest control plans for troublesome or vulnerable areas

• Respond to clients who call in unexpectedly with pest or weed chemical needs

• Maintain equipment and tools used in chemical applications and request service when needed

• Notify the purchasing manager or account manager when a chemical is out of stock

Qualifications

• Driver’s license and clean driving record

• Chemical applicator license must be obtained prior to starting the job

• Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance

• Be detail-oriented

Pay

$19-$22 per hour

Schedule

Monday-Friday | 6 or 7 AM (depending on days tasks) to completion
