The Opportunity
You’ll own the marketing function end-to-end, including product marketing, demand generation, content and communications. Reporting directly to our CEO and co-founder, this role is a strategic addition to our executive team. You will work closely with both our sales and product teams to scale the go-to-market initiatives for the company. This individual will manage our existing marketing team and define a plan for team expansion as part of our 2024 planning and budgeting process.
Nexla is in an exciting space and at a true inflection point. There are a lot of existing and emerging players in this industry and therefore a lot of noise. Through your efforts, Nexla will better tell our story and showcase why our technology is disrupting the data space and is enterprise ready.
Our existing customers are an impressive list of blue chip logos. Industry verticals where we are partnering with key customers include financial services, retail & ecommerce, and digital health. We have been heavily focused on the product, we now have product market fit and are ready to scale further.
We’re looking for a strategic marketing leader with a product marketing background who can tell a good story and has a history of marketing to enterprise customers. It’s especially great if they have data or AI industry experience. However, vision isn’t the only thing, there’s a need to be a builder with a startup mentality – the role will require rolling up sleeves and doing what it takes to bring Nexla to the next strategic level. Leadership and People management experience is also a must, the Head of Marketing will be taking over an existing Marketing team and coaching them in their growth. Additionally, this role allows the opportunity to build a team of exceptional startup hires that will fuel us in 2024 and beyond.

Within 1 Month, You’ll
- Deep dive into our technology to get an understanding of why our customers love us
- Execute lead generation and nurture programs, identifying opportunities to drive growth
- Develop a close working relationship with our CEO, CRO, and the Sales team
- Collaborate with the sales team to define the 2024 marketing strategy & plan to meet pipeline goals
- Identify marketing team gaps and develop a hiring plan to build out the marketing function
Within 3 Months, You’ll
- Get the existing marketing team executing against marketing strategy with clear roles and responsibilities
- Set OKRs for the department, teams and individuals
- Post the first round of job descriptions and be actively hiring with the help of our recruiting team
- Shipped at least one new growth campaign
- Deliver content marketing assets in areas of “key themes” that nurture prospects through the funnel
- Execute on conferences and field marketing events with targeted messaging including pre/post event strategy
- Present marketing plan to the board that is aligned and blessed by other key parties internally
Within 6 Months, You’ll
- Be on track for your pipeline goals, annual marketing budget and begin executing H2 plans
- Secured and onboarded crucial hires made, reassess team strengths and gaps, coach for greatness
- Scale campaigns that are working and dial back investment in poor performance
- Establish a field marketing program with series of skill labs and/or other strategy

Compensation Range
Compensation for this role ranges between $250K and $350K. Since this is a leadership role with a lot of ownership, equity will certainly be offered. Health benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K and commuter benefits.
Salary : $250,000 - $350,000
