Job Title : Controller

Position Summary
Manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting/Finance operations for Client's. This position would be working onsite at the Memphis, TN location. This position reports to the Director of Finance with dotted line functional responsibility to the Director of Operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
. Responsible for managing and directing the accounting and/or finance function at the
Client's plant including but not limited to inventory costing, closing entries, work papers,
financial statement preparation and job analysis.
. Responsible for keeping management informed on the trend’s ad cash needs of the
business,
· Develop and maintain an effective cash management system.
· Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
· Prepares and reviews weekly and monthly financial results and establishes short-term and
long-term forecasts. Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business
activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past,
present, and expected operations.
· Direct preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepare necessary
supporting documentation and justification. Provide management with timely reviews of
an organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
· Creates or approves monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L reports and ensures financial
information has been recorded accurately. Develop, improve and issue timely monthly
financial records. Coordinate month-end and year-end closing process.
· Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of perpetual inventory
integrity, general & entity accounting, and cost accounting. Review production and
operating reports and report any performance anomalies to senior plant management for
corrective action.
· Create and maintain standard cost information for each product manufactured / sold,
including work centers and machine rates. Audits bills of material, routings and standard
costing while establishing machine overhead and labor rates.
· Manage fixed assets and monitor all capital and major expense projects.
· Participates in the development of accounting/finance policies and procedures. Ensures
policy compliance. Serves as a resource providing department operating guidelines and
policies. Develop, document, and provide for continuous improvement in accounting
processes and procedures.
· Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by
implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments.
· Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects,
programs, capital expenditures and products costing.
· Work with senior plant management to implement, monitor and control cost saving
improvement plans on an on-going basis.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
· At least ten years of related experience required.
· Knowledge of and compliance with GAAP
· CPA or CMA preferred.
· Minimal travel may be required.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Excellent computer skills and ERP/MRP systems knowledge
