Overview
Nexstar Media Group is seeking a Direct Response Account Executive for WGN America and AntennaTV. WGN America is one of the country’s fastest growing and most innovative cable networks, and AntennaTV is one of the country’s largest multicast networks. We’re looking for a self-motivated, personable, competitive and energetic professional to help inspire and grow a young and expanding Direct Response Team. This Account Executive will identify, qualify and sell Direct Response advertising time to national advertising agencies and clients of all sizes.
Responsibilities
• Managing weekly inventory placements, DR filler and local packages• Prospecting, identifying and qualifying new clients • Creates and delivers powerful and persuasive presentations to clients• Establishes and fosters working relationships with key decision makers• Utilize market knowledge and research to develop sales proposals• Consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals• Contribute to a positive office environment• Business development to grow existing revenue
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years sales experience within the industry• Minimum 3-5 years combined experience • Demonstrated history and success of contracting and developing client relationships at the Senior (Decision Maker) level or Agency level.• Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills• Able to manage deadlines and to operate with a sense of urgency• Demonstrated experience in Forecasting and Sales Reporting• The ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment• Strong communication and computer skills• The desire to succeed in sales, be goal-oriented and determined• Strong phone skills
