Who we are: Established in Raleigh, NC in 2018, Next Century Spirits (NCS) blends together traditional techniques and unique finishing technologies to create enhanced distilled spirits. Our patented post distillation filtering and finishing technology creates a tool for the traditional distiller to expand their repertoire of achievable flavors and aromas while improving quality, maintaining consistency, and reducing supply chain issues. This technology allows for tight control over the entire production process, resulting in the ability to create bold and unique flavor customization options for brands to choose from to expand product portfolios and fulfill market needs.

Primary Duty: At NCS, we develop a range of distilled beverage products and blending components for our customers. We are currently seeking candidates for a Production Operator position in Zebulon, NC. The position will work under the supervision of the Production Manager.

Location: This location will be based in our facility in Zebulon, NC.

Responsibilities:

The position’s primary functions are as follows:

  • To maintain exceptional standards of safety, professionalism, and innovation in line with NCS’s mission.
  • To conduct and perform duties associated with production of distilled spirits products including but not limited to the following: fermentation, distillation, proofing, filtration, barreling, canning, bottling, carbonation, and performing sensory analysis.
  • To populate standardized data into relevant production/QA/QC documents.
  • To regularly report status updates to supervisor and accurately record production data.
  • To demonstrate proficiency in NCS methods/protocols and to assist in training new/additional personnel as needed.

Candidates must have the following:

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a food & beverage production or manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to operate production packaging equipment, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended times, and working in various temperature conditions.
  • Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to provide employment eligibility documentation to work in the United States as required by federal law throughout the duration of the employment period.
  • Ability to maintain focus under minimal supervision, to maintain multiple simultaneous projects, and be responsible for open and frequent communication during periods of varying workloads.
