Come join the new board game cafe in Palo Alto! Here at Next Level board game cafe and bar, we believe in awesome board game experiences, and that means great coffee, excellent food and drinks, and a friendly atmosphere to accompany our giant board game collection. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a brand new business and to show your creativity on the job.  

We are looking for a dedicated team up to the challenge of creating a fun, welcoming destination for board games while providing top notch customer service. Our front of house staff will be the first people that customers interact with and a very important part of their visit at Next Level. 

Skills: 

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment 
  • Experience making coffee (preferred, but not required)
  • Enthusiasm for board games (preferred, but not required - we are happy to teach to you!)

Responsibilities: 

  • Greet customers and introduce them to cafe’s payment system and layout
  • Serve food and drink, including taking orders and communicating with kitchen staff
  • Make and serve coffee and smoothies (full training provided)
  • Maintain a clean and tidy dining area
  • Help customers choose games and teach basic instructions (training provided)
