What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead ITAD Technician position at NexTech?
Position Summary: This role will require the Lead ITAD Technician to make sure the team and self-included sort, inventory, data wipe, test, repair, and prepare for shipment of several types of computer equipment (Assets), including desktops, laptops, servers, switches, and related internal components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
· Capture the make, model, and serial number of all Assets in NexTech’s asset tracking software.
· Evaluate Assets and record any damage.
· Capture Assets specifications using a software solution.
· Data Wipe hard drives in assets using NexTech’s IQ software solution.
· Troubleshoot Assets booting errors and update BIOS as needed.
· Perform part swapping and light repair.
· Attending company-provided technical training when necessary.
· Review data handling requirements for each PO received. Ensure requirements are adhered to.
· Remove any company identifiers or asset tags from all received Assets.
· The Lead Technician ensures that the team maintains properly functioning test equipment.
· Quarantine non-conforming product and report it to the Warehouse Manager
Qualifications and Work Experience:
· A Technical Degree or experience equivalency is required.
· Manufacturing and production experience is a plus.
· Must meet the physical requirements including, but not limited to, lifting, walking, standing, sitting, and climbing stairs.
· Minimum one year of experience in a similar position. For example, Lead Technician. Must be able to read, understand, and execute process instructions. Perform functional testing and data erasure procedures on servers, enterprise storage systems, blades, and networking devices.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
