Description:
As a Forklift Operator specializing in operating a John Deere 744L 4WD Loader (or similar equipment), you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment to move, load, and unload materials within a variety of settings such as storage yards and industrial facilities. Your primary focus will be on handling materials using the specific capabilities of the John Deere 744L 4WD Loader.

1. Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma
• Experience: Proven experience operating a John Deere 744L 4WD Loader or similar equipment.
• Skills:
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
• Valid certification as a forklift operator, specifically for the John Deere 744L 4WD Loader.
• Strong understanding of materials handling techniques and best practices.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.

• Training:
• Company Basic Practices; Safety, QMS Policy.
• On-the-job training: Relevant to Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions related to Position.
• Identification and traceability, Test Status activities, and Control of Non-conformances.

2. Responsibilities

• Safely operate the John Deere 744L 4WD Loader according to manufacturer guidelines, company policies, and applicable safety regulations.
• Material Handling: Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other storage areas using the forklift attachment of the John Deere 744L 4WD Loader.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of materials handled, including quantities, locations, and any necessary documentation.
• Safety Procedures: Follow established safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others. Conduct routine inspections of the equipment to identify any maintenance or repair needs.
• Communication: Coordinate with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth material flow and effective communication regarding work priorities and tasks.
• Efficiency and Productivity: Optimize the use of the John Deere 744L 4WD Loader to minimize downtime and complete tasks in a timely manner, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance checks on the forklift and promptly report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.

• Training and Compliance: Stay updated on industry standards, equipment operating procedures, and safety regulations. Participate in training programs and meetings as required.
• Employees must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
• Must maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

3. Working Conditions

• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment (Manufacturing plant with loud noise from heavy machinery, grease, and dirt.)
• Workers will be required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
• The employee must clock in and out during shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
