Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab
Duties:
- Perform cardiac catheterization procedures, including prepping patients, monitoring vital signs, and assisting the physician during the procedure
- Administer medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
- Assist with patient education and provide post-procedure care instructions
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care and outcomes
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient information and procedures performed
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Catheterization Lab or related field
- Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and equipment
- Proficient in venipuncture, specimen collection processing, and medication administration
- Ability to perform basic nursing skills such as gastric lavage, spinal tap, and suture removal
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
