About this Position / Responsibilities

NFF is sourcing IT Asset ManagementTechnicians to support the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA).  The selected candidates will assist WMATA’s inventory management division with packing, unpacking, and setting up IT peripherals in WMATA's three DC area buildings.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with the WMATA Inventory Team to process Help Desk orders assigned to the inventory team and check for fulfillment
  • Work with the WMATA Inventory Team for Endpoint deployments (Move, setup and install endpoints)
  • Work with the WMATA Inventory Team to receive shipments (Move and Stack)
  • Work with the WMATA technical and support teams to improve deployment and support
  • Report to Inventory Team on deployment progress Coordinate Inventory Team indeployment activities regarding imaging, prepping, deploying, asset retrieval, data wiping,asset returns, etc.; via the IT Asset Management system (currently Service Now)
  • Ensure deployment inventory is properly tracked and documented in the IT AssetManagement System
  • Work with the WMATA Inventory Team to perform Quality Assurance tests on imagedmachines, to ensure end point devices are consistent with requirements
  • Participate in testing of end point software, hardware, and deployment processes Providesupport across all WMATA locations
  • Perform other duties related to role as requested
  • Record all time within the WMATA Contractor Time Recording system (CATS)
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two Plus (2 ) years of customer support experience
  • Minimum of Two (2) years Inventory experience
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (Maximo, CA Service Desk)
  • Experience with Windows 10
  • Associates degree or equivalent degree from an accredited school 
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to take ownership and be accountable where appropriate
  • Strong technical background that will allow for an understanding of ourinfrastructure/environment
