Description
SUMMARY: The Assistant Director of Services (ADOS) assists the Director of Services with Supervising the Program Coordinators (PC), Service Managers and Services hourly staff.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with the Director of Services to ensure proper training of Services staff, compliance and proper enforcement and application of the Services Department Vision plan set by the DOS.
• Abide by Independent Support Plans and other healthcare plans as outlined in Quality Assurance Review Domains.
• Conduct Therap Documentation Audits disseminate findings to service entities.
• Ensure medication are distributed monthly and all meds, counts and paperwork are accurate with oversight from the agency LPN.
• Maintain Professional collaborations with Corporate and Residential Staff, Parents, Conservators, Independent Coordinators/Case Workers and Finance.
• Conduct unannounced Residential visits at various times throughout a 30-day period.
• Assist State Investigators when reports or an allegation of abuse, exploitation and/or misconduct occurs.
• Assist in Reportable Staff Misconduct Investigations.
• Assist ED and COO in providing supporting documentation for levels of need.
• Assist the Director of Services with ensuring accurate reporting of Protection from Harm (PFH) Incidents to DIDD/ECF.
• Assist the Director of Services with ensuring PFH initial actions, follow ups and recommendations are documented on: Medical errors, Investigations, Incidents and Behaviors.
• Review Reportable Incident Forms (RIF) and submit to Director of Services/IMC for final review.
• Assist Director of Services, at his/her direction with QA needs upon unannounced visits from State Representatives.
• Assist in conducting High Risk Review when PFH incidents occur.
• Conduct unannounced Residential visits during various shifts at least quarterly.
• Ensure proper reporting is completed to stay in compliance with TN DIDD policies as well as Agency’s internal policies.
• Serves as Assistant Incident Management Coordinator.
• Assist the Director of Services/IMC with ensuring tracking and trending collaborations as needed and/or directed.
Requirements
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
• History of working around individuals having various intellectual, developmental or physical disabilities preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read, writes, correctly interpret, communicate in English, and implement instructions.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the insurance carrier.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Prefer a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Human Service Field or Administration and Management or sufficient years of DIDD and Healthcare related experience. Five years of supervisory disability programs experience may be substituted.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience, which includes significant supervisory experience (additional years of experience in Human Service, Administration or Management can substitute for education requirement).
• Must have be able to read, written excellent command of the English language.
• Proven ability to work independently or as a valuable team member.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, with driving record acceptable to Insurance carrier.
• Successful completion of all mandatory training.
