What are the responsibilities and job description for the CADD Instructor position at niagaracc-suny?
SUNY Niagara is seeking a full-time, tenure track instructor in CADD. The CADD program and department are housed in the Business and STEM Division. The CADD Instructor will be responsible for student advisement, assessment of learning outcomes, participation in divisional and college activities, and all required duties as outlined in the Faculty Handbook. The typical teaching load is 15 lecture hours or 18 lecture/lab hours per semester, which will be comprised of both face-to-face instruction on campus and, once necessary training is completed, online modalities. In addition, the instructor will be responsible for attending regular office hours, meetings on campus, and participating in committees. Teaching assignments may be during day, evening, or weekend hours. The instructor may be tasked with coordination of the CADD program.Lectures are typically one to three contact hours per week per course and labs are typically one to six contact hours per week per course. CADD courses currently offered by the department include Introduction to CAD (with lab), Drafting Techniques I (with lab), Process Piping Drafting (with lab), Civil/Arch Commercial Drafting (with lab), ASME Pressure Vessel and Structure Design (with lab), Advanced CADD (with lab), Mechanical Design (with lab), and Structural Design Drafting for CADD (with lab). Classes are held on the main campus in Sanborn.The start date of this position will be January of 2025 for the beginning of the Spring 2025 Semester. This position will only be required to work 162 days per academic year (August – May) and will be provided with a winter break from mid-December to early January, and a Spring Break for one week in mid-March.
