ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Lead Major/Capital Projects, researching and recommending investments to meet NIC / Customer needs. Manage project implementation and budget.
- Assess new or existing manufacturing and business processes for potential improvements in safety/quality/efficiency/effectiveness.
- Work with production and quality departments to ensure fabricated parts meet customer design specifications.
- Initiate, facilitate, and lead Kaizen teams to improve quality, productivity, team member engagement to enhance Waste Free Manufacturing.
- Use CAD modeling software for facility updates, design items, packaging solutions and engineering studies as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.
- Minimum 5 Years in a manufacturing environment.
Project management experience required.
Experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment a plus.
- Understands design platforms such as Solidworks, Pro-E, and AutoCAD with the ability to analyze information from these applications and implement designs required.
- CNC machine programming knowledge a plus.
- PMP certification not required, but desired.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing & 5S preferred.
- Experience in developing robust manufacturing processes.
- Experience in reading and understanding blueprints for fabrication and assembly operations.
- Knowledge of Solidworks and DraftSight or AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- General knowledge of APQP processes and GD&T
- Ability to grasp complex concepts easily and pay attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills.
