What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Nichols Contracting Inc?
The ideal candidate will oversee projects from take-off to closeout. You will work with senior management and act as the point of contact on your projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle
- Manage project budget
- Provide timely status reports to stakeholders
- Manage project billings
- Create and manage submittals, RFI's, MSDS, shops drawings, procurement, budgeting, change orders and forecasting.
- Provide monthly QC report to stakeholders
- Utilize project management, accounting, and estimating software(s) to achieve overall project success.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in Commercial construction with a preference in Division 7,8,9 on new commercial projects
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Industry knowledge and ability to read civil, architectural, structural, MEP, and RCP construction plans.
- Detail-oriented
- Strong Budgeting background
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Procore, BIM 360, Timberline, Bluebeam, Field Lens, estimating, and accounting software experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
