Nicollet County is currently accepting applications for the position of a 911 Dispatcher for the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office.
911 Dispatchers play a critical role in serving the public and keeping the County safe. This position is responsible for receiving records and 911 calls, routing emergency and non-emergency communications, dispatching applicable agencies, and maintaining and documenting radio communication and other records. Successful Dispatchers are detail focused, steady under pressure, and team-oriented.

Receives telephone calls reporting situations, incidences of an emergency nature, or life-threatening nature and directs emergency services, questions caller and solicits information, and receives and routes emergency and non-emergency telephone calls to appropriate Public Safety Answering Point.

Minimum qualifications & Requirements
In order to be considered for this position we require a high school diploma or GED, an intensive background check, psychological testing, and an on-online dispatcher test, as well as a valid Minnesota driver’s license or ability to obtain a valid Minnesota driver’s license within 60 days of hire. Dispatch experience with high stress situations/calls is preferred, but not required.
