What are the responsibilities and job description for the Integration Engineer position at Nihon Kohden?
The Integration Engineer is a member of the Nihon Kohden Data Integration team that develops and implements the integration and connection interfaces that interface Nihon Kohden products to customer hospital information systems (HIS).
The Integration Engineer should have experience with software programming (preferably JavaScript), networking, web services (e.g., REST), and databases. This is a customer facing position and the Data Integration Engineer should be comfortable speaking with and building relationships with customer IT staff.
Target salary is $67,000 or above, depending on years of experience and expertise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAIN DUTIES
- Implement in-house data integration solutions between Nihon Kohden systems and customer hospital information systems.
- Communicate project progress and issue statuses.
- Track activities throughout the integration life cycles.
- Resolves and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion and in a clear manner.
- Use configuration management tools to document implementation details
- Work with data integration team to collaboratively develop new and enhance existing data integration solutions.
- Document current processes clearly and concisely and suggest areas of improvement for consideration.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Certification / Experience required:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline; if applicable: relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of degree
- 1 years of experience in a software development, technical services, or related role
- 1 years of experience in troubleshooting, providing analysis and solutions to various programming issues
- 1 years of experience with JavaScript, SQL, and Databases (e.g., MS SQL, Postgres)
- Healthcare interoperable standards (i.e., HL7, FHIR) experience preferred

- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities

WORKING CONDITIONS
SCHEDULE: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., MondayFriday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Companys discretion.
PHYSICAL: Generally, may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written/verbal communication in English. Typical vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
