Position - Instructional Designer
Location - Des Moines, Iowa (Onsite position with 3 days in the office)
In this role, you will:
- Work on the design of complex learning strategies and solutions to meet business needs and identify opportunities for process improvement within the scope of responsibilities
- Analyze performance needs, and design, develop, and implement highly complex learning solutions and approaches for multiple lines of business or a business group
- Apply knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, performance consulting, and evaluation to performance improvement interventions and solutions
- Consult, and strategize with Learning and Development professionals and Human Resources professionals to utilize or develop a variety of unique and specialized instructional strategies that improve specific areas of individual performance and effectiveness
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of Learning and Development Consulting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience using and authoring in Xyleme, a learning content management system (LCMS) based tool
- Advanced skills in multiple instructional design tools and technology (e.g., Articulate, and Captivate)
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Additional Qualifications:
- Design and develop multi-media solutions and templates based on consultation with instructional design teams using various authoring tools.
- Advanced animation and graphic design skills using the Adobe Creative suite (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema 4D, Premier Pro, Audition, Character Animator)
- Advanced skills in creating scenario-based learning with complex branching using Articulate Storyline 3/Storyline 360.
- Strong narrative and storytelling-based writing/scripting to apply to advanced solutions (e.g. gaming, videos, audio, and scenario-based learning.)
- Experience developing solutions using design tools and technology such as Video and audio production: editing, recording, and production using Camtasia, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Audition, and Audacity; 3D modeling, animation, and gaming using 3DS Max, Blender, Unity; Coding for gaming and interactions using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, C#, Typescript
- Create templates for Captivate and Storyline V3. Storyline 360 and Rise
- Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated environment
- Ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
- Demonstrated project management experience related to instructional design projects
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results with speed and agility
