Job Summary:
The Mailing and Shipping Processor is responsible for providing support to operational programs. They maintain a precise daily schedule for preparing, processing, delivering, and picking up mail. The employee must have a reliable vehicle to pick up mail and materials to and from the post office. This position requires the employee to work on weekends and holidays.
Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Deliver and pick-up mail (packages, letters, etc.) from the post office.
- Print, sort, file, document scanning, and other document preparation.
- Maintain records of receipts, mailing dates, and other required information.
- Monitor the Mail room to ensure handling of incoming communications in a timely fashion.
- Follow all internal Policies & Procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
- Keep mail and packages safe from tampering and damages.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Work permit required if in High School.
Professional Experience:
- Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Specialized Skills:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, preferred.
- Organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
Technical Skills:
- PC skills; MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point, preferred.
Additional Considerations:
- Must have a reliable vehicle.
