Public Health Nurse

Job Location: North Health Center 3807 Clairmont Rd. Chamblee, GA 30341
Hours : Part-Time 16-24 weekly ( 3 days weekly)
Pay Rate : $55 hr

DUTIES: Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with established nurse protocols. Works in the program area of adult health (STD, Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, Family Planning), but may also work in child health immunization/travel clinics. Performs client assessment, provides treatments, educates clients on health problems and provide the necessary referrals to internal and external health care providers. Assists with weekly and monthly vaccine inventory and performs other duties as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND
; current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree in
•åursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of PHN experience AND completion of a PHN course
: Within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: In addition, preference will be given to applicants with previous experience as a Public Hea 'Nurse serving adult health (i.e. STD, FP, BCCP) and immunizations; ability to adapt to a new environment; teamwork orient
