What are the responsibilities and job description for the Individual Support Worker (Personal Aide) - Non-Benefited position at NJID?
We are currently recruiting for an Individual Support Worker (ISW) in our Adult Community Support Services Program in Middlesex County. Qualified candidates will identify a variety of available services and develop support systems to meet client needs. There is a significant amount of travel required for this position.
Job Responsibilities of an ISW:
- Accompanies clients to doctor's appointments
- Assists with meal preparation
- Light housekeeping
- Assists with running errands
- Assists with activities of daily living (may be required)
Job Requirements:
- HS diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license and must be insurable under NJID's automobile insurance
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental, and related disabilities
- Strong communication skills
NO certification required
NJID has full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Somerset Counties.
