The objective of this position is to help and work directly with the Social Media Coordinator to build awareness and interest in water safety, the importance of swim education for all ages, and Njswim’s 7 locations across New Jersey. You will help create and organize content that will be utilized through several platforms including email, social media and print to assist in Njswim’s marketing efforts. This position will include daily organizational tasks as well as participation in bigger marketing projects. This position is primarily remote but you must be able to meet at one of the 7 Njswim locations for training and then at least once a month afterwards. Responsibilities Communication Answer messages on Eclincher to give information about our policies and programs through Njswim’s voice Report to the Social Media Coordinator and Director of Operations regularly though email, phone call and daily reports Attend and participate in monthly marketing meetings Communicate with Njswim’s location managers and Evans Alliance to discuss current and future ads, events and promotions. Social Media Search for reel ideas and audio and save them Copy commonly used hashtags into google document Write captions for posts, including relevant information about age limits, pricing, dates and times. Interact on social media by liking and commenting on various posts. Must read the post and ensure the comment is relevant and appropriate. Can reshare information to our story if a post is relevant to us such as a family mentioning us or an organization we support giving water safety information. Check and answer direct messages on Instagram Share our news feed posts to our stories Post to social media accounts through Eclincher utilizing hashtags, location, tags and links to relevant information Edit Linktrees with current events and promotions Canva Edit and organize photos and videos into appropriate folders on canva Make photos and videos suitable for different platforms by cropping, editing brightness/contrast, adjusting video length and matching audio Upload photos and videos from shared albums to canva Create and edit marking pieces for print, email and social media. Maintain current branding standards including fonts, photos and colors Editorial Proofread captions and marketing material and correct spelling and grammar errors Ensure all materials sound professional and are on brand with Njswim’s mission and culture Ensure all materials follow proper sentence structure and grammar rules Must have 1. A good eye for photography and photo/video quality 2. An editorial mindset and strong ability to proofread and correct errors 3. A working knowledge of how to edit photos and videos preferably in Canva or Lightroom/Photoshop 4. Have advanced knowledge in Instagram and Facebook features and trends. (It’s constantly changing.) 5. Great understanding of Njswim’s mission, vision and culture 6. Great understanding and passion for water safety and swim education 7. Must be organized 8. Good understanding of our demographic and locations 9. Good knowledge of how we teach our lessons and what makes us different from other swim schools 10. Great communication skills including verbal and written 11. Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team 12. Eagerness to learn, contribute and problem solve 13. Can get projects done in a timely manner and meet deadlines 14. Knowledge of how to make and post reels on Instagram and Facebook 15. Ability to plan and manage time effectively 16. Independent worker who can accomplish tasks with minimal supervision 17. Great computer skills and understanding of of how to edit, organize and share documents with Google drive and all applications Educational and prior experience 1. High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred 2. Customer service and communication experience is a must 3. Experience in photo/video editing, marketing and/or writing is preferred 4. Experience in a education, water safety or swimming is a plus
