Job Summary:
This role will report to the Procurement Director and will work directly with the material manager, lab operations and R&D teams and other requestors, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality goods and services.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field.
· 3 years’ experience in purchasing or supply chain management with solid knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes and systems.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy
- Execute procurement strategies to achieve organizational objectives.
- Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Utilize data analysis to make data-driven decisions in procurement activities.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on delivery speed for their products, price and quality and implement improvement strategies as necessary to ensure quality and reliability.
Sourcing and Supplier Selection
- Identify potential suppliers, conduct comprehensive evaluations, and select vendors based on criteria such as quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Continuously seek new sourcing opportunities to diversify the supply base and mitigate risks.
Contract Negotiation and Compliance
- Work with Procurement Director and Controller to negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon terms.
Purchase Order Management
- Generate purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to confirm specifications, quantities, and delivery schedules.
- Developing an effective system for monitoring purchase orders ensuring that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders and report any back ordered, missing or defective products, expediting, as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address any procurement-related issues and mitigate risks.
- Acts as change agent and advocate for Procurement as a value-added partner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize procurement activities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and driving continuous improvement.
- Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI)
Physical Demands:
- Ability to talk, hear, stand, reach with hands and arms, and use hands and fingers to manipulate instrument/equipment controls, computer keyboard, office equipment, objects, or tools.
- Moving from one work location to another to sit and stand, sometimes for extended periods of time.
- Vision (with correction) including color, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
