Duties:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to recipes and established quality standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques, including piping, glazing, and icing
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed to maintain freshness and quality
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute pastry production schedules
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and placing orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety guidelines
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of pastry techniques, including cake decorating and baking
- Familiarity with food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required
