Job breakdown
As a nurse, you are an unsung hero of healthcare; whether it is properly diagnosing patients, providing empathetic treatment, or being a therapist to a patient, you get it done correctly, efficiently, and with genuine passion. Hospice Austin has multiple openings for full-time Registered Nurses to cover night shifts. Under the supervision of a Team Leader, a night in your role will involve providing patient care as directed and filling in for the primary case manager to provide standard case management.
What you will own
- Providing nursing care for both acute and chronic health needs of patients
- Assisting a Case Manager with case management by performing initial and ongoing assessments of patient care
- Triaging patient care problems
- Managing patient discomfort and administrating symptom relief
Shift Options
- M-F 12a-8a
- F, Sat, Sun 8p-8a
- Thursday 8p-8a; Fri 5p-1a
- M-F 8a - 8p

Non-negotiables
- MUST BE TX Registered Nurse (RN)
- License must be from an approved school as determined by the Board of Nurse Examiners
- Valid TX driver's license:
- Valid auto insurance
- Clean driving record
- MUST BE ABLE to work occasional holidays
- 1 year of previous nursing experience
- CPR certification
