Description
JOB SUMMARY: To assist in the daily flow of all functions and processes related to the efficient operation of the Fiscal Department. To perform routine accounting functions as required.
I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions are italicized)
A. Productivity
1. Collect appropriate vendor and billing information for third party payments on behalf of Community Living clients.
2. Ensure that rent and other third-party payments are paid in accordance with established budget, and that Community Living clients’ personal funds are available via check.
3. Monitor Community Living client account balances monthly to ensure compliance with SSI and Medicaid resource limits as applicable.
4. Provides support to the Fiscal Department as required.
5. Provide phone support for agency phones, ensuring friendly, professional, and thorough service.
6. Special projects or assignments as requested and/or other duties as may be assigned.
B. Communications Systems/Practices
1. Communicates on a timely basis with supervisor regarding project status, date needed, report needed and concerns or issues affecting individual or department performance.
2. Identifies and utilizes effective verbal, written and electronic communication skills and vehicles to accomplish tasks and clarify information for all internal and external customers.
3. Ensures that all communication takes place in a professional manner.
4. Actively participates in department and committee meetings as appropriate, taking action on all assigned items.
5. Immediately alerts appropriate director of any potentially critical issue or crisis.
C. Quality/Service Assurance
1. Ensures billings are processed according to department guidelines for timely reimbursement.
2. Learns and uses all computer software packages necessary to perform job efficiently and effectively.
3. Develops and maintains a system to ensure all work is completed accurately in a timely manner, according to agency and fiscal guidelines.
4. Provides friendly, professional, and thorough service to all staff, management, and providers.
5. Adhere to the organization’s Code of Ethics and support the identified Position Statements.
6. Maintains all information in a confidential and professional manner.
7. Models appropriate behavior in interaction with persons served, staff, families, community resources and other audiences/customers.
8. Promotes health and safety of all staff and persons served through adherence to all agency policies and procedures.

D. Reporting
1. Accurately records personal timecard information.
2. Requests, prints, and distributes various reports as needed from all computer software packages.
3. Prepares all necessary reports according to established timelines and in adherence to agency guidelines.
E. Industry Relations
1. Develops and maintains professional relationship with all internal and external customers.
2. Networks with agency and other professionals to develop and enhance knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Education/Experience
1. Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Advanced education preferred.
2. Minimum of three years accounting/bookkeeping experience.
B. Business/Technical Skills
1. Professional/technical knowledge of general accounting and office support functions.
2. Software skills with working knowledge of, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks.
3. Analytical ability for processes, procedures, and information management.
C. Interaction Skills
1. Proven customer service skills with demonstrated effectiveness in follow through, judgment, analysis and decision making.
2. Capacity to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.

Requirements
General Requirements / Working Conditions
1. Must provide own transportation, have valid driver’s license and driving record must meet insurability requirements.2. Must maintain and provide documentation of auto insurance at limits set by agency.3. Must have ability to lift/move materials weighing up to 25 lbs.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is seldom exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Salary : $17 - $19
