Responsibilities
The Department of Defense’s (DoD) Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program works cooperatively with allies and partners to reduce or eliminate WMD threats. The DoD’s CTR Program is implemented by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in alignment with the 2017 National Security Strategy, 2018 National Defense Strategy, and the DoD Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Strategy. The cooperative nature of the DoD’s CTR activities yields a secondary benefit of strengthening regional alliances, deepening existing partnerships, and attracting new partners.
Role description:
Noblis is looking for a Science Coordinator to support the DTRA Cooperative Threat Reduction mission. Responsibilities for this position may include:
- Assist Science Team leadership by maintaining central planner to track team tasks, assignments, deliverables, and suspense dates.
- Ensure that Science Team leadership and Team Leads have access to planning outputs from central planner; Develop and deliver internal tasking reports.
- Assist Science Team leadership by acting as a central source of coordination for regularly occurring and ad-hoc Requests For Information (RFIs) from the government; coordinate and consolidate input from SMEs.
- Track and/or provide QC delivery of external reports.
- Ensure quality control/management steps are taken for each deliverable to clients.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters with 3-10 years of experience with project/program coordination.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, and/or other software to facilitate coordination.
- Project management capabilities in relation to coordinating and ensuring quality of multiple tasks and projects simultaneously on a large diverse team.
- Ability to track multiple competing timelines and moving pieces.
- DoD SECRET clearance or higher.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with DTRA Cooperative Threat Reduction program.
- International engagement experience.
- Project Management Professional certification.
- Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.
- Flexibility/adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates with a SECRET, Top SECRET, or TOP SECRET/SCI clearance are preferred.
Client Engagement
-Begin developing relationships one level up and two levels down. Identify and support opportunities to expand project scope beyond current deliverable and actively share information about clients’ emerging support needs and trends with team members and management. -Participate on proposals
