Bar Manager
NOBU, the world-renowned Japanese Restaurant, is hiring for its Miami location. We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic professional to join our team.
- Applicants must have 2 years’ Bar Manager experience.
- Applicants must have 3 years’ experience working in a high volume, upscale restaurant.
- Applicants must exhibit a degree of high level professionalism.

Strong leadership and personnel management skills should be accompanied by a commitment to company values and image. The bar manager pays close attention to all operational details to ensure the comfort, safety and enjoyment of guests and job satisfaction of staff, as well as the financial success of the establishment.
Scope of work includes, but not limited to the following:
- Recruit, interview, hire, schedule and train bar staff
- Interact with guests to develop loyalty and exercise great customer relations
- Ensure bars are profitable by analyzing liquor costs versus sales
- Work with liquor vendors to develop new productions or promotions for the bar
- Set and maintain standards for safe food handling, cleanliness and safety
- Negotiate with vendors, order supplies, manage inventories
- Review sales and beverage costs, and reconcile any discrepancies in accounting. Ensure proper cash management.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and according to company guidelines.
- Oversee the preparation of beverages and ensure quality of product served.
- Extensive working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, personnel management and marketing.
