NOBULL is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their growing Finance & Accounting department. This position will report directly to the Accounting Director and support the accounting team to assist in overseeing month-end closings, journal entry preparation, and general ledger reconciliations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations and accounting functions, supporting the Accounting Director in developing accounting and finance processes and providing an exceptional level of support to the business. The ideal candidate will have a mix of public and private accounting experience. This individual will assist in implementing and managing the processes and controls of the department to ensure appropriate accounting procedures.
\n- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors
- Ownership of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) through preparation, analysis and reporting of monthly management accounts
- Manage full-cycle month-end / year-end close procedures, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
- Implementation, management and continuous development of proper accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls
- Reviewing and some preparation of monthly inventory, revenue, and other balance sheet reconciliations
- Management, coaching and development of the Accounting and AP teams
- Monthly variance analysis and financial reporting
- Partner and maintain strong relationships with major stakeholders such as the Director of Apparel, Footwear, Operations, Marketing
- Maintenance of the lease and promotional schedules
- Assist in processing and reviewing bi-weekly and 1099 payroll with HR
- Other (as applicable/necessary)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent field, CPA preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Managerial experience and desire to mentor and develop staff
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Must be organized, highly motivated, and a flexible team player
- Process driven and forward-thinking
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Experience with Avalara and expense management systems a plus
