Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).


What you will learn and contribute to

Radio Solutions Sales team is a community with passion for our customers and for our Radio solutions. Our team members share information proactively, learn from each other and help each other as needed. We help developing Mobile Networks Radio business by providing presales support through deep technical solution expertise, wide industry knowledge, and good understanding of internal sales processes. We develop long-term partnership with customers and relationships with key product line stakeholders. We proactively develop compelling radio solutions in conjunction with the product lines and lead related radio technology activities with all relevant stakeholders, motivating customers to appreciate the benefits of our radio portfolio offering. We manage complex problems and coordinate activities that may extend beyond our area of responsibility. We contribute to long-term business development plans and position technology, solutions, and products in alignment with customer needs and Nokia Mobile Networks strategy.

Position Description

  • Lead Radio Network technical solution presales and offer preparation activities related to Enterprise opportunities in North America, including Radio Software, Hardware configurations and site solutions for Classical and Cloud RAN, coordinating with all related stakeholders to meet customer and business needs, and providing technical expert support as per applicable processes.
  • Build strong relationship with relevant customer organizations in concert with customer account team (CT).
  • Proactively identify and qualify radio related business opportunities in co-operation with CT, in alignment with Mobile Networks strategy and customer technology needs.
  • Communicate customer needs and feedback to internal stakeholders including product lines. Coordinate with the customer and product lines to define new compelling products or product extensions required to grow Mobile Networks business, driving related new roadmap commitments.
  • Define and document optimal technical customer solution, articulate compelling customer value proposition, respond to related technical / solution portions of tenders, and prepare solution reference pricing.
  • Work closely with Account Management, Commercial Management and Services Solution Management to ensure best overall solution.
  • Responsible for timely production of technical solution and contract deliverables including assumptions, Product Configurations, Bill of Quantity, Solution description documents, and Statement of Compliance/Point by Point Responses. Support customer negotiations.
  • Arrange and coordinate technical customer workshops, support customer presentations regarding technical solution and related value proposition
  • Support execution of radio projects, including ordering support, ensuring proper handover to delivery / logistic / service teams

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline related to Telecommunications or equivalent is required (masters / MBA preferred)
  • Min. 10 years technology consulting or presales experience
  • In depth knowledge of mobile wireless technologies 5G & LTE, Classical & Cloud RAN, Cloud Infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Nokia Radio product portfolio and understanding of Nokia sales processes & tools is preferred, along with experience in RF network planning & optimization
  • Passion to win attitude, good coordination, communication, and presentation skills (virtual team environment)
