What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Operations position at Nomad Health?
What you’ll do:
- Lead a Travelers on Assignment (TOA) team; this team is the primary support contact for our nurses while they are on assignment at hospitals across the country
- Partner with Operations and Nomad leadership on a variety of strategic projects that enable efficiency and scale
- Own daily Operations workflows, including communication with internal and external business partners
- Investigate and drive solutions that reduce friction across team workflows and improve the customer experience
- Develop new ways to increase retention and engagement of existing nurse travelers
- Ensure that your team communicates accurate, time sensitive information to our nurses at all times; this may occasionally include work outside of typical business hours
- Recruit, onboard and train new team members
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
Who you are:
- 2 years of experience managing direct reports
- Structured, detail-oriented communicator, who uses metrics to define problems and outcomes
- Empathetic communicator, with a knack for helping people solve their problems
- You build a culture of ownership and excellence by helping your team to prioritize and drive truly excellent results
- You independently identify problems, develop new workflows and refine processes using data
- You practice active listening, encourage a growth mindset and inspire and support your team to grow through clear and consistent feedback
