Job Summary: The Office Manager will oversee the daily administrative operations of our scrap metal yard. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Office Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office and supporting the management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and filing.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, inventory, and employee attendance.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for office supplies and equipment.
- Oversee payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Support the management team with various administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with accounting software and basic bookkeeping principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in office administration or related field are a plus.
