What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Coordinator position at NOMS Healthcare?
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, we are looking for a research coordinator and content creator to bring our research and expertise to life. Designed to educate and inform our growing audiences in shoulder, hip and knee care, physical therapy and healthcare leadership in general.
Essential Functions:
1. Collect, analyze and interpret information from peer-reviewed scientific journals and/or through direct submissions by applying specific scientific content.
2. Conduct independent research of scientific literature and other available research to add content to papers/projects/podcasts and identify upcoming research opportunities.
3. Presentation coordination for trade shows and sales presentations.
4. Bi-weekly social media content on research; monthly blurbs on key subject areas; writing engaging, public-facing social media posts.
5. Collaborate closely with principal investigator to design studios and gather appropriate data.
6. Speak with patients daily for study recruitment, enrollment, and follow-up.
7. Maintain database of patient reported outcomes and objective measures of range of motion and strength.
8. Responsible for gaining and maintaining IRB approval on all studies.
9. Communicate research results and needs with clinical and administrative staff, including physician assistants, medical assistants and radiology technicians
10. Represent research department to external study sponsor by facilitating frequent written and verbal communications.
11. Coordinate prompt payments of patient stipends and invoice sponsors for milestones.
12. Generate new revenue through increased enrollment and compliance of studies.

Education and Work Experience:
1. High school graduation or GED.
2. Typing ability and Word processing/computer skills.
3. Medical/orthopedic experience preferred.
4. Medical research experience and expertise in orthopedics.
Environmental/Working Conditions:
Office setting, well-ventilated and well lighted. Work involves frequent telephone contact with patients. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive.
Physical/Mental Demands:
Normal office environment. Work is typically performed at a desk or table requiring the use of standard office equipment. Intermittent sitting, standing and stooping. May view computer screen for long periods of time. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive.
